Neighbourhood Barter (NBarter) System
Well, they say that “old is gold “and also add that “one man’s meat is another man’s poison”. It can actually be actualized through the neighbourhood barter system. A neighbourhood barter system is a platform that connects products and antique exchange enthusiasts within a community or postcode. This system can connect communities in a way that no other system has ever had (well, except for social media). It is a system that will involve the exchange of goods and services…

What we seek
We seek happiness But sorrow seeks us too We seek love But sometimes, hatred gets the better of us We seek truth But lies won’t seize from the mouth of the trustworthy We seek trust BUt betrayal is somewhere in sight We seek justice But we are fed with only an abridged version of it We seek death to the sick But the healtheir ones die first We seek power Only to get drunk by it… I mean, whatever happened…

I’ve been nominated for Future Africa Awards
My friends. . .my well wishers. . .I have been nominated for the Future African Awards in the Excellence in Public Service category. This is a huge mile stone for me and my team at the African Union Commission and the GIZ-AU office. Whether I win it or not is not the question but the fact that the work of me and my team is being monitored closely from around the continent is heart warming. This is to thank everyone that has…

Reality of Illusion
A samurai with two swords A poet with mean words A prisoner with freedom thoughts A King and his subjects A queen and her maidens A student of knowledge A pregnant nun All searching for the reality beyond time and space Have you ever wondered why Oliver asked for more? Or why you are never satisfied with the iPhone you just bought? Have we ever questioned the illusion we discard and the reality we believe? Like separating wanted and unwanted…

Vacation 2013: The Gambian Experience
So here I am. . .after over a year of not blogging. Not that I haven’t been writing or lacked what to talk about, as it is the case with most wanna-be bloggers like myself, you should expect flaws like this one, as many times in one year. Though I have written articles (technical and non technical) I thought are not worthy of publishing, written poems I am too scared to post (Cold, I’ve been there, Broken Pot, As I…

Away
I could decide to pick a prostitute and “sex” it away I could decide to get a wrap of ganja and smoke it away… Or visit a “pharmacist” to sniff it away I could decide to spend all day and night in a bar drinking it away At least I know, like my friends say The bottle doesn’t betray Better still Without much delay, I could go to a karaoke bar and sing it away Or attend a comedy show…

Hacked, Then UnHacked
Been almost a year since I expressed my thoughts and feelings here. . .Not that I found a new space to express them but the will and time to write just hasn’t been there, until four days ago when I was buzzed on YM by an old friend, a staff at Standards Organisation of Nigeria. For those who were close to me back home in Nigeria, they knew I developed several IT solutions for the nation’s apex Standards body –…

I did Malabo….!
Deciding where to start this article was as tough as deciding to leave the only Spanish speaking African country. Do I start by describing the tutelage of the protocol officer, Emmanuel, assigned to us by the foreign affairs ministry, who did his work with so much zeal and passion right from my arrival till time of departure? Do I start by descrbing the beautiful island marred with palm trees at every corner, streets as clean as the clouds, the wonderful…
